One of my top favorite things!
The very first thing that was recommended to me was CBD oil. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabinoid found in cannabis sativa. It is a phytocannibinoid that works with our endocannibinoid system. CBD does NOT cause the psychoactive affects that THC does. As a matter of fact, there are only trace amounts of THC in CBD.
CBD has been found to help releive chronic pain, anxiety, promote deeper sleep, reduce acne and increase immune response, just to name a few! There are studies that show CBD as a potentional help for substance abuse; heart disease and the prevention of diabetes.
An article by the American Cancer Society reports that scientists have found that both THC and CBD can slow growth and/or kill certain cancers in lab dishes. I have read other articles that have claimed that CBD can destroy the protein on the outside of cancer cells and expose them to your immune system….they are clever and know how to hide! Time to expose them! The fact that they are only scratching the service of what this “natural” substance can do is super exciting! Check out “Project CBD” for loads of awesome information!
My “confirmation” was a nurse doing my blood work, asked if I had ever heard of CBD, when I told her that I was taking it everyday….she told me to “never stop”.
I take 50 to 75 mg. per day and prefer mine in capsule form. I also prefer the full spectrum oils over Isolate, but use both. I have noticed, since increasing to a 50:10 ratio of full spectrum to isolate, that my chronic neck, shoulder and elbow pain have virtually gone away. My suggestion would be to start out with the smaller dosage and adjust to meet your needs. Most health food stores carry some form of CBD, the most popular one seems to be “Plus CBD” which is awesome stuff! I use that in my mid-day supplements everyday. When I wanted to increase what I was taking, I opted for bigger milligrams instead of more pills! Those are not available in most of our local stores. There is a link below for Full Spectrum CBD products.
Isolate vs. Full Spectrum:
CBD Isolate contains only Cannibidiol and none of the other cannibinoids, terpenes and healthy fatty acids that are in the full spectrum CBD. The working together of all the attributes of the full spectrum is called the “entourage effect” and can increase the benefits! If you are a candidate for drug testing….the safest way to consume CBD is isolate.
Testing is important to me! I will only take, and recommend product that has quality processes and testing in place. There are loads of products on the market…make sure you pick a good one! Here is a link for my favorite:

All invertebrates have an endocannibinoid system….so, for joint, heart health and anxiety issues for your (4) legged friends:
Wow! Super informative! I became a believer in CBD when a very close friend of mine started giving this to her severely mentally handicapped son. He started having Grand mall seizures daily. Then he started having 2 or 3. Then he started getting mini seizures, and he’d have 10 to 14 in an hour. This poor boy suffered for years. Finally, she tried the CBD, and within a few months, they started to subside. After tweaking his dose and finding the right CBD supplement, he’s now virtually seizure free!
